The project, ‘Panacea Gaming Platform’ (PGP), aims to develop a robust technology platform to enable game development for use in the clinical treatment of those with disabilities (15% of the paediatric population and up to 40% of the elderly population). The end results will be a suite of health games, a tracking platform that allows player data to be measured and analysed for clinical purposes, clinical guidelines and standardisation for game development, and the gaming platform itself, which can be licensed to software developers around the world.
Through a very strong consortium of partners and countries, we have industry leaders with expertise in: business, software development and gamification; clinical telehealth practices; early education and development across the lifespan; research and testing; and the use of analytical tools to measure the functionality and effectiveness of health and education technologies. The uniqueness offered by this consortium is our combined ability to bring together leaders and experts from multiple fields of practice to create a truly innovative group of products, based on the best available research. The collaboration of this consortium will have a direct positive social and economic impact to the health and wellness of our communities.
